Why?
The need for
multicultural understanding and skill development for ministry
that reaches across cultural boundaries is rapidly increasing.
The presence of many international priests and religious
sisters and brothers working in parishes and dioceses of
the United States further necessitates keen pastoral skills
in inter-cultural group dynamics.

How?
An adult education model, which engages participants
in ongoing dialogue, is used throughout this process-oriented
workshop. This method begins with the participants’
own experiences and draws examples from them to illustrate
relevant learning principles.
The team has
used this adult education method effectively in workshops
for the last seven years. By sharing what they have learned
during these years, they will demonstrate how human meaning
and group method are culturally conditioned and why effective
ministry cannot ignore them.
