Family
Life and Sunday Worship (RELX 816.01)
John
and Kathy Flaherty, as parents of five young children, have developed
a family life connected to the Sunday Mass; John is also Director
of Liturgy and Music at LMU and Chair of the Liturgy Committee for
the LA Religious Education Congress.
March 10 - 31
(Mondays, 7:15 - 9:45 pm)
at LMU, St. Robert's 366
Monday
through Saturday, the life of the Christian family flows from the
Mass of the previous Sunday and prepares for the following Sunday.
What in our daily lives enhances or detracts from this living out
of the experience of Sunday worship? We unconsciously infuse many
core elements of our faith and worship into the routine of our daily
lives. Yet we also miss many simple opportunities to be aware of
God's hand already at work in our families. This course will explore
how families can prepare for the Sunday Eucharist and be nourished
by it throughout the week. Participants will discover real, tangible,
and applicable exercises firmly rooted in church teaching and practice.
Who can attend?
Open to all, especially parents of young children and anyone
involved in religious education.

$100 (for 1.0 semester hour of credit)
